Sugar Cookie Recipe
Makes approximately 40 cookies
1 lb 4 oz butter (room temperature)
1 lb 10 oz granulated sugar
2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2 lb flour
2 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/4 tsp baking powder
Cream butter and sugar until it’s creamy, light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla, mix till incorporated, scraping down bowl as necessary.
Add flour, baking powder and baking soda, mix till incorporated.
Drop by tablespoonfuls onto baking sheet. Then top dough with rainbow sprinkles by lightly pressing top of cookie into sprinkles before baking. Bake at 300 degrees until golden on edges, still soft in the middle, approximately 15 minutes.
